Air India has become the first airline in the country to provide Wi-Fi internet service on domestic flights.
Wi-Fi is free for an introductory period and will gradually be introduced on other aircraft in the fleet. In-flight Wi-Fi will allow multiple devices to connect simultaneously while above 10,000 feet.
This service will depend on factors like satellite connectivity and government restrictions. Until now, Wi-Fi service has been provided on international routes under a pilot program in Airbus A350, select Airbus A321neo and Boeing B787-9 aircraft.
