When will the Change Happen?
Amazon has informed its Prime members about this upcoming change. For this, the company has also sent emails to the users. It has been said in the email that Prime Video users will soon see limited advertisements during movies or other shows. The company has not yet disclosed how many advertisements will be shown. Let us tell you that Amazon will make this change from 17 June 2025.
Amazon’s New Subscription Plan Charges
Along with the changes being made on the OTT platform, Amazon has also introduced new plans. If Prime users want to watch Ad-free content, they will have to take a separate recharge plan.
Amazon Prime Ads Extra Cost Charges:
- For ad-free content, users will have to take an annual plan of Rs 699. The company has also introduced monthly plans for this, which cost only Rs 129.
- The company has also confirmed that it will charge Rs 999 as an add-on for ad-free content, but currently it will be charged at a discounted price of Rs 699.
Amazon Prime Subscription Plans
There are 2 types of plans available for users in Amazon Prime membership, the information of which we are giving you below –
- Monthly plans: If you have not yet subscribed to Amazon Prime, then let us tell you that Amazon offers a plan of Rs 299 for this. This price is for one month of the Amazon Prime plan. If you want to subscribe to Prime for 3 months, then for you will have to take a plan of Rs 599.
- Annual plans: If you want to take the annual plan of Amazon Prime, then you will have to spend Rs 1499 for it.
After 17 June, users will be shown advertisements in the content even after taking the Prime subscription. Now a separate plan will have to be purchased for ad-free content. Many Amazon web series are quite popular in India. These include Panchayat, The Family Man.
