Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates said that India’s growth will benefit the whole world. Bill Gates said this at an event in Mumbai on Thursday. Not only this, he also praised the fast pace of innovation in India.
Bill Gates said that India’s emergence as a developed nation by 2047 will not only change India but also have a positive impact on the world. He said that the fact that key sectors like health and education have been given priority in India has created a very positive momentum.
Describing India’s economic growth outlook as promising, Gates said, “This is a great situation when there is a debate on whether the growth rate will be 5% or 10%. However, I don’t think it will reach 10%, but it will not go below 5% either.”
Gates praises India’s AI development approach.
Bill Gates said that economic expansion will enable more government investment in healthcare and education, creating significant opportunities. On Artificial Intelligence (AI), Gates said that this technology will bring about huge changes. But he dismissed the fear that AI will eliminate jobs.
Gates also praised India’s AI development approach. He said that it is good that India has adopted an open-source foundation model according to local needs, including support for Indian languages.
Also praised India’s digital public infrastructure BillGateso praised India’s digital public infrastructure including Aadhaar and UPI and called it one of the country’s most important contributions to the world.
Gates said, ‘Every time I come to India, I see many companies taking advantage of this infrastructure. Be it banking, government benefits or stock trading. Innovation in India is moving faster than I expected.’
