- WeatherNext Graph – This is a highly efficient model that provides a single deterministic forecast with a 6-hour resolution and 10-day lead time. It is perfect for applications that require fast and accurate forecasts. “WeatherNext Graph provides more accurate and efficient deterministic forecasts (i.e. a single prediction) than the best deterministic systems in use today,” Google said.
- WeatherNext Gen – It is a probabilistic model that generates 50 possible weather scenarios with 12-hour resolution and 15-day lead time. This model is particularly useful for forecasting extreme weather conditions such as cyclones.
Google said, “WeatherNext Gen produces an ensemble forecast (a series of possible future weather scenarios) with an accuracy that is superior to the existing ensemble models most commonly used today. “This helps decision-makers better understand climate uncertainties and the risks of extreme conditions.”

Google has announced that WeatherNext will be available on Google Cloud, providing live forecasts four times per day along with historical weather data to aid researchers, forecasters, and decision-making.
