Reliance Jio has started its 5G service in the world’s highest battlefield. Indian Army’s ‘Fire and Fury Corps’ gave this information through a post on social media platform X. According to the Army, Jio Telecom and the Indian Army have together successfully installed the first 5G mobile tower on the Siachen Glacier, the world’s highest battlefield.

The Army ensured the safety of the crew members including logistics.Jio spokesperson said that with the help of Army signal personnel, Reliance Jio has become the first telecom service company to provide connectivity in this remote area.
He said that Reliance Jio successfully deployed plug-and-play pre-configured equipment at a forward post using its indigenous full-stack 5G technology.He said that this achievement was possible due to coordination with Army signals personnel, which included planning, multiple training sessions, system pre-configuration and extensive testing.
The Indian Army played an important role in managing logistics, including airlifting Jio’s equipment to the Siachen Glacier.The company has established this facility at an altitude of 16,000 feet. Which is a big achievement in itself. This work was carried out with the cooperation of the company and the army.
