Kokilaben Hospital Sets New Benchmark: Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai is set to become the first hospital in India and the fifth in the world to receive the JCI Healthcare Sustainability Certification, the world’s highest gold standard award in sustainable healthcare.

The Joint Commission International (JCI) and the Geneva Sustainability Centre have awarded this honour for working fairly and responsibly, adopting new treatment methods and taking care of patients as well as the environment.

Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital
- Established in 2009, it is one of the largest and most modern private hospitals in Mumbai.
- Spanning 17 floors and 1 million square feet, the hospital features 750 beds.
- The ICU can treat over 300 patients simultaneously and has 22 operating theatres.
1999, Nitu Mandke initiated this project as the largest heart hospital. However, in 2003, Nitu Mandke passed away, and the project subsequently faced difficulties. Later, it was completed by the Leader of the Reliance ADA group, Anil Ambani. This hospital has become famous in Asia also along with India.
Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital has the first 3-room intra-operative MRI suite (IMRIS) in Asia.
It was built by the Reliance Group in memory of Kokilaben Ambani and Dhirubhai Ambani. The hospital is named after the late Dhirubhai Ambani’s wife, Kokilaben Ambani, who is the mother of Anil and Mukesh Ambani.
