New Volvo XC90 Arriving in India: Swedish car maker Volvo Cars India is preparing to launch the facelift of its flagship SUV Volvo XC90 in the Indian market on March 4. The company revealed the Volvo XC90 facelift in the global market in September last year. The second generation model will be introduced with cosmetic changes.
New Volvo XC90 Arriving in India: Exterior Design
The overall design of the new Volvo XC90 is similar to the existing model. It has a new design grill with chrome elements. There are sleek LED headlights on either side with more modern Thor hammer-shaped LED DRLs. Its bumper has been updated.
The side profile will get traditional pull-type door handles, body-colored outside rearview mirrors (ORVms), and silver roof rails. The car has been provided with new 21-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. At the rear, the chrome strip on the new design bumper is positioned in a horizontal layout, along with it it also has new design LED taillight elements.

The cabin of the facelifted Volvo XC90 will be a 7-seater like the current model. It will get a 3-spoke steering wheel, dual-tone theme, and leather seat upholstery. The use of sustainable materials will be seen inside the XC90 facelift. Like the current XC90, the facelift version will also be feature-loaded.
Volvo XC 90: Feature
The SUV will have features like a 12.3-inch driver display, 11.2-inch freestanding touchscreen, and 19-speaker Bowers & Wilkin audio system. It can be provided with features like a colored head-up display, powered seats with ventilation and massage function, panoramic sunroof, and 4-zone auto AC with AC vents for second and third-row passengers.

For safety, the car can be provided with features like multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, hill descent control, and an electronic parking brake. Apart from this, Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) can also be provided in the car, in which lane keep assist and cruise control can be found. Front, rear, and side parking sensors can be provided with a park assist function in the 2025 Volvo XC90.

Globally, the SUV comes with a 2-litre turbo petrol engine with 48-volt mild hybrid technology and plug-in hybrid technology option. In India, it can be launched first with a mild hybrid engine. The Volvo XC90 was first launched in 2014.
