Kakkar is also included in the boards of other companies. Sunil Kakkar also serves as a Director on the Boards of several other companies, including Mark Exhaust Systems Ltd., SKH Metals Ltd. and Hannon Climate Systems India Pvt Ltd.

Education and Achievements: Sunil Kakkar is an engineering graduate from IIT Kanpur. After this, he did an MBA (Gold Medalist) from the Asian Institute of Technology.

Maruti Gets Approval for a New Unit in Haryana

The company is going to set up another unit in Haryana to increase its production. The funds for this have also been approved and the construction work of the unit will begin soon.

Maruti Suzuki India announced that its board has approved an investment of Rs 7,410 crore to set up a third plant at Kharkhoda in Haryana, with a capacity of up to 2.5 lakh vehicles per annum.

The company said that this investment will be financed through internal resources. The reason for setting up the third plant is the increase in market demand, which also includes exports. Maruti is the largest car selling company in the country, whose exports are also at the forefront. With the new unit, customers will have to wait less,s and the car will reach them faster.

Company Chairman RC Bhargava described Kakkar’s induction into the board as a historic milestone for the company and said that this will ensure better coordination between Suzuki Japan and Maruti Suzuki at the highest level.
