xAI’s GROK-3 Chatbot is ahead of Other AI Models
During the launch, Musk and the xAI team explained how Grok 3 is ahead of other AI models like OpenAI, Google, and DeepSeek. He explained how Grok 3 outperforms all other models like Gemini 2 Pro, Cloud 3.5 Sonnet, GPT 4o, and DeepSeek V3 in maths, science, and coding benchmarks.
Musk has also announced the reasoning model of ‘Grok 3’. It will compete with models like OpenAI o3 Mini, DeepSeek R1, and the recently launched Gemini 2.0 Flash Reasoning. xAI’s GROK-3 Chatbot will show its many thoughts to the users. Which will give them a chance to see how the chatbot solves problems and answers users’ questions.
xAI’s GROK-3 Chatbot Deep Search Also Announced
xAI also announced ‘Deep Search’, Grok’s own AI agent. xAI’s Deep Search works similarly to OpenAI’s Deep Research AI agent. Through this users can research questions and get detailed answers. Besides, this can also save them time.
Musk said, ‘Something that might take you half an hour or an hour to research on the web or search on social media. You can do the same thing in 10 minutes with the help of a deep search.
xAI’s GROK-3 Chatbot Prices
Grok 3 has been rolled out from today. It will be available to customers using X’s Premium+ plan. The price of this plan starts from ₹1,525 per month or ₹18,300 annually. Musk has also announced a separate subscription called Super Grok for his dedicated fans. Users taking this subscription will be the first to get all the new updates and features of Grok 3.
Why Was It Named Grok?
The word grok comes from Robert Heinlein’s novel Stranger in a Strange Land. In the novel, this word has been used for a character who grew up on Mars. This word means to understand something completely and deeply. Therefore, xAI and Elon Musk have named their AI model Grok.
Musk has promoted Grok 3 as “scary smart,” with 10 times the computational resources of its predecessor that was released in August last year. The launch comes as the world’s richest man is deploying the enormous powers granted him by US President Donald Trump to restructure and dismantle federal agencies.
