She has been appointed in place of Sanjay Gupta, who will leave the role in July 2024 and has now become President of the Asia-Pacific region (APAC).

According to the report, Ms Lobana brings over 30 years of experience in senior leadership roles across the technology and financial industries, giving her a deep understanding of the evolving Indian landscape. Her career has been marked by a consistent focus on business transformation, operational excellence, and customer experience.

Preeti Lobana has been associated with Google since January 2016. Preeti has previously worked at Google as Vice President, of gTech – Process, Partner, Publisher Operations, Ads Content, and Quality Operations. Before Google, he held leadership roles in companies such as NatWest Group, American Express, Standard Chartered Bank, and ANZ Grindlays Bank, where she specialized in areas of business strategy, product management, and operational excellence across diverse markets in India.

Preeti has led large teams across India(~1200) and led APAC-wide as well as Global teams across 5 continents – 26 locations.

Google’s Net Profit Increased By 6.1%

Let us tell you, that Google India has increased its net profit by 6.1 percent to Rs 1,424.9 crore in FY24, whereas in FY23 it was Rs 1,342.5 crore. The company’s total income stood at ₹7,097.5 crore, of which ₹5,921.1 crore came from continuing operations and ₹1,176.4 crore from discontinued operations.
