Infosys New WFO Policy

Infosys has said that it will change its attendance software to ensure that employees work from the office at least 10 days a month.

What did the Company Say about Infosys New WFO Policy?

Infosys said in an email to functional heads that this new policy will come into effect from March 10, 2025. These new changes will impose a limit on the number of work-from-home days every month. According to a report in The Economic Times, the report cited the email as saying, “To implement this, certain changes will be made in the system from March 10, 2025, which will limit the number of work-from-home days per month. This step has been taken to ensure compliance with the new hybrid work rules, while also providing flexibility to employees.”

What the Email Said On Infosys New WFO Policy

These measures are designed to ensure compliance with new hybrid work requirements while maintaining flexibility for employees. Tech giant Infosys, which has about 323,000 employees on its roster, did not respond to an email seeking comment. The email said that system interventions will be implemented to limit the number of working from home days that can be implemented each month from March 10, 2025.

The decision will affect Infosys’ 3.23 lakh employees at Job Level 5 (JL5) and below. JL5 employees are team leaders, while ranks below this include software engineers, senior engineers, systems engineers, and consultants. These people are not included: Managers, Senior Managers, Delivery Managers, and Senior Delivery Managers fall in the rank of JL6 and above. However, Vice Presidents are not included in this.

Infosys New WFO Policy: Why is Infosys Calling Employees to the Office?

Infosys wants employees to come to the office and work so that there can be better coordination with the team and the working culture of the company can be strengthened. Also, this step is to promote collaboration and innovation among employees. However, the company has also ensured that employees get flexibility and can work from home on some days.

Another employee was quoted as saying that this move is more of a project requirement rather than a unit requirement. That is, if you are an Infosys employee, you will have to come to the office and work for 10 days in a month. Apart from this, new rules can also be made regarding absence.
