The Government of India has launched a new Aadhaar app. Union Information and Technology (IT) Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has explained in detail on his X handle how this app works. He has launched the new Aadhaar app in the third edition of Aadhaar Samvad.
Under this new initiative of the government, now Aadhaar can be identified instantly through QR code and Face ID. This app not only strengthens the security of Aadhaar, but also makes it easier to use.

Now you will not need to provide photocopy of Aadhaar during hotel check-in, travel or shopping. With the new Aadhaar app, your Aadhaar will be completely digital and it can be shared only with your permission. Through this app, you can scan your Aadhaar QR code and verify it instantly.
What is the Speciality of the New Aadhaar App Launched?
The most special thing about this app is its QR code and Face ID based verification. Just like we scan QR code while making UPI payment, similarly QR code can be scanned for Aadhaar verification and also, your identity can be verified instantly through Face ID.
