Suzlon Energy Wins Big: The country’s leading wind energy company Suzlon Energy has once again got a big contract. Suzlon Group has won the contract for an additional 302.4 MW wind power project from Jindal Renewables in Karnataka. Suzlon had also received a contract for 400 MW of wind power from Jindal Renewable Power. This is the largest commercial & industrial order placed by a single customer with Suzlon Energy.

  • This is the largest commercial & industrial order placed by a single customer with Suzlon Energy.
  • Last month Company secured a 400 MW captive wind power project from Jindal Renewables in the same region of Karnataka.
  • C&I customers now account for 56% of Suzlon’s overall order book, which is now at an all-time high of 5.4 GW.
  • As per agreement, Suzlon will supply 96 state-of-the-art S 144 wind turbine generators with Hybrid Lattice towers each of which will have a capacity of 3.15 M.W Capacity.
  • The power generated will be used at steel plants in Chhattisgarh and Odisha, Suzlon said without disclosing the exact value of the multi-crore order.

“JSP Green Wind1, a subsidiary of Suzlon and Jindal Renewables, has expanded its partnership with an additional 302.4 MW wind power project in the Koppal region of Karnataka,” a statement released by Suzlon Group on Wednesday said.

Girish Tanti, Vice-Chairman, Suzlon Group, said, “This collaboration will advance our joint green steel initiative, as well as significantly contribute to India’s ambitious renewable energy target of deriving 50 percent of electricity from non-fossil fuels by 2030.”
