TRAI new rule 2025 :- Frequent customers will get relief from recharge
It is common nowadays to have two SIMs in a smartphone. Everyone keeps two SIMs in their mobile, but does regular recharge in only one SIM. People keep the second SIM only for validity and many people also have trouble with the charges levied to maintain the validity.
Now to find a solution to this problem, TRAI has issued a new guideline. Know details…

What is TRAI new rule :-
According to TRAI’s new rule, now any SIM card will remain active for 90 days after the recharge is over. That is, even if people are not able to recharge for 3 months, the SIM will still remain active and the company will not be able to transfer it to another customer. This will prevent people from recharging their phones again and again.

If the recharge is not done even after 90 days and there is a balance of Rs 20 left in the SIM, then the company can deduct Rs 20, after which the validity will be extended for another 30 days. However, if there is no balance in the SIM, the number will be blocked.

Now’s situation:-
Till now, it is necessary to recharge the phone number within a few days of its validity expiring, otherwise both incoming and outgoing calls are stopped. The new rule will provide relief to those who want extra time to recharge the number
BSNL
Apart from this, customers who use BSNL SIM, according to reports, their SIM will remain active for 180 days without recharge. TRAI’s new rule will be applicable to Jio, Airtel, Voda-Idea.
