UAE Schools Ban Phones 2025
The UAE Ministry of Education has issued guidelines and regulations regarding the return of teaching staff, technical teams and administrative personnel in both public and private schools, deciding the interest of students ahead of the third academic session starting on 14 April.
Mobile iPads Banned in the School
Under which the use of mobile phones or any unauthorized electronic devices is strictly prohibited on the school premises. If found using such items, the device will be confiscated and dealt with as per the official student behavior policy.
The use of iPads is also strictly prohibited. However, students are required to bring all necessary school supplies, including a fully charged laptop (personal or ministry-issued).
UAE Schools Ban Phones: Strict Attendance Rule
Schools have informed parents about the necessary guidelines and requirements through email and SMS, and have emphasised that attendance of all students will be individual.
School are said: The school administration has issued a clear statement regarding the student’s attendance and their parents also.
- If students are absent without any unjustified reason will be recorded during every lesson. Missing lessons 3 times will be considered an absence for a full day.
- Such absences will harm the student’s behaviour record.
- For Parents – Parents visiting the school must wear formal dress, show valid identification and register their details at the reception.
UAE Schools Uniform Compulsory
For students Compulsory adherence to the official national school uniform is mandatory, specified sports uniforms are permitted only during physical education classes.
- Wearing hoodies or any unauthorised attire is strictly prohibited.
- The UAE school administration is aware of the importance of maintaining personal appearance and general hygiene, including proper haircuts and avoiding unconventional styles.
School Timings: The school day will follow a lesson-based schedule, starting at 7 am and ending at 2.10 pm from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, the school day ends at 10.30 am after the fourth lesson.
For Parents: Parents have also been requested to use the same mode of transportation for their children, school bus or a private car, and adhere to the designated drop-off and pick-up times and locations.
